Structural Design & Analysis

Following the Conceptual and Preliminary design stage we perform the detail design and analysis of the air vehicle, or the modification.  This task is done in compatible to the relevant aviation regulations and requirements (such as FAR's and MIL STD's)

We will support the customer along the manufacturing of the vehicles parts, the assembly of it,  the ground and flight test, we will establish the required documentation for military or civil certifications and will support the certification process.

Some examples of Structural design and analysis which performed by Mr. Artzi:

The  Kfir Nose structure and systems (Radar) installation.

The Kfir wing modification – adding "Saw-Tooth" to the Wing leading edge including preliminary  design, structural design for test flights – to evaluate the aerodynamics   characteristics and finally detail design of the serial production configuration.

Astra Business Jet Aircraft-  Design of the Carry-Through Structure which is the main structural element that connected the wing to the fuselage and transferring the loads.

Westwind 1125 Aircraft – Design of Winglet which were connected to the wing tip fuel tanks and was made of Aluminum machined beams ribs and skin.

And special nose Radom for Sea-Scan configuration – composite structure with Quick release connections

Phalcon Design and analysis of 2  by 10 meters array antenna supporting structure and its connection fittings to a pressurized deflected fuselage. Concept  which ensure that the antenna will remain flat with no effect of the fuselage deformations.

Design of reconnaissance pod for Fighter aircraft  – From initial configuration Lay-Out including adaptation to the aircraft center line connection point requirements and limitation, continue with structural design and analysis, systems integration, ground tests and completion with flight test and demonstration capabilities flights to the customer.

The pod design and analysis, location,  connection and integration  performed in accordance with MIL STD 1289C and MIL STD 8591

 Aircraft Modification Design and Analysis

Some customers required an upgrading of existing aircraft  such as modified civil aircraft to a special mission configuration, adaptation of new armament and external fuel tanks, addition of EW protection suite, addition of winglets, re-engine,  and aerodynamic cleanup.

Some examples of Aircraft Modification Design and Analysis which performed by Mr. Artzi:

Upgrading of the Pilatus PC-9M for Slovenian Air force – These includes design of new cockpit systems and human engineering including installation of HUD, Armament control unit and more. All the design was compatible with MIL STD 1333B   and MIL STD 1472F

External Stores Adaptation

Adaptation  of new external stores, compatible with MIL STD 8591   and MIL STD 1289C, including stress and aerodynamic analysis of the upgraded configuration and performance of flight tests and weapon release tests.
